Why Do We Live in the Excess?

Why Do We Live in the Excess? Empedocles gives us the answer. αἶψα δὲ θνητ᾿ ἐφύοντο, τὰ πρὶν μάθον ἀθάνατ᾿ εἶναι (fr. 35) “Immediately, those mortal beings—who had previously learnt themselves to be immortal—came into being.” That which has ‘learnt’ to be immortal will never be able to forget it, by the very nature of its being. Where there is Immortality (God, our Excess, the very nature of beings) man is inspected by that Immortality; it inspects man more than man inspects Immortality. He does not scrutinise Immortality; Immortality scrutinises him. ------------ Telegram: De Unamuno Whatsapp: De Unamuno Academia:   https://independent.academia.edu/fulivieri

Poetry, Beauty and God's breathing

In this poem, Bukowski is an excellent example of what I am saying , that poetry says to the poet by naming things where you have to go and where you have to go is the threshold of Beauty, which is the point where you are transcending this life ( saeculum ) and you hear the breath of God on you. And poet can be everyone, who is looking for Beauty and lives and experiences Beauty in life, without writing it on paper. your life is your life don’t let it be clubbed into dank submission. be on the watch. there are ways out. there is light somewhere. it may not be much light but it beats the darkness. be on the watch. the gods will offer you chances. know them. take them. you can’t beat death but you can beat death in life, sometimes. and the more often you learn to do it, the more light there will be. your life is your life. know it while you have it. you are marvellous the gods wait to delight in you. Poetry dwells near the divine light's breath

The comparison between poetry and divine light that we have proposed HERE finds its perfect explanation in Saint Paul, Epistle to the Romans 1:19: τ ὸ γνωστὸν τοῦ θεοῦ φανερόν ἐστιν ἐν αὐτοῖς, ὁ θεὸς γὰρ αὐτοῖς ἐφανέρωσεν — “that which may be known of God has been made manifest in them (in men), for God has manifested it unto them”. Poetry unveils within the human being the need to be human, that is, the need for Beauty, the need to feel Beauty within oneself and alongside oneself; and this feeling is sustained by divine light. Since we are influenced by the Augustinian idea of saeculum , we hold that poetry belongs to the saeculum and therefore comes to a halt upon the threshold of divine light [I] without crossing it, though perceiving the light that lies beyond that threshold. We are led to that threshold by the human feeling of Beauty that dwells within us and guides us to that point: to that door which cannot be crossed in our human condition. And yet, the mere act of stan...

About those who are looking for the truth and those who are not

There is a real risk to end up thinking that those who do not seek the truth it is because they are predetermined to act in such a way. But as Saint Augustine makes clear, from the very beginning we are given the possibility to decide. It is up to us, it is in our free will to decide whether to remain in the Good that has been given to us from the beginning or to choose Evil. The choice, obviously, always takes place following certain signs that appear around us, we are immersed in a system of created nature, and through this system, we are interacted, interoperated and connected with the One who set this whole system in motion, in lay terms with the Moment-When-The-System-Originated. In fact, Saint Augustine said [1] naturae competit esse cum Deo : It belongs to nature to be with God. Because sine dubio, ubi est vitium, natura non vitiata praecedit : without a doubt, where there is vice, a non-vitiated nature precedes [1] De Civitate Dei XI, 17

Why is it so difficult to hear God's voice?

A person must be inwardly prepared to be able to listen. If the inner faculties that allow one to hear the voice of God are undeveloped or ignored, that voice goes unheard. Ad illud enim hominis ita loquitur, quod in homine ceteris, quibus homo constat, est melius, et quo ipse Deus solus est melior. “For [God] speaks to that part of man which is better than the other parts of which he is composed, a part bettered only by God himself” (Saint Augustine, De Civitate Dei, XI, 2). Ex auditu, in fact, is the nature itself of listening to God's word: Fides enim ex auditu (Saint Augustine, De Natura et Gratia Liber Unus 2, 2) Not everyone can hear God's word, because not everyone chooses to listen. Not everyone uses their free will to cultivate the parts of themselves that make them receptive to God’s voice. Many choose to avert their attention, their will, and their interests from these higher faculties, focusing instead on coarser, worldly concerns—those that dominate the saecul...

We must exit Satan's Kingdom

These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful. (Revelation 17-14) It is time to start forming a new society, that must include a parallel economy, a parallel government, parallel police and a parallel army. We must start from a post-Catholic society to build a new future Catholic society. There is an authentic core of Catholicism which is called "little remnant". Let's start from this minority because it is strong authentic and above all it preserves the image of God within. They didn't let Satan touch their God-created humanity, that they have consciously kept We need to start this new society for when the Kyrios will come for the second time. We need to be ready for that day, we need to have prepared our stepping stone to the new society for when His enemies (our enemies) are under His feet. They are everywhere, in every major business...

The in-game Alien intelligence that wants humanity to be destroyed

(Matthew 24:42) On the top of this system (Globalism), there is an intelligence, an "Alien Intelligence" whatever THIS could be. A wicked Alien Intelligence. A pure evil intelligence, that knows how and wants our free choice, our free will, to be cut off, our God's gift and the image of God we are bearing within us. This image of God, we bring in ourselves, is coming to be terminated by THIS intelligence. THIS intelligence wants an anti-human mankind, a post-human mankind. Humanity has to be won, humanity has to lose its supremacy as the prime understanders of the creatum. THIS Alien evil intelligence has promised its minions Eternal Life, pleasure sex and physical sensual happiness power and richness in aeternum. For this reason, THIS Alien Intelligence and its minions are constructing a dystopia in this world, bringing the folly to reason ...

500 miles - Fourth Mile

And the hell was there, in London, where we moved. To Jack's sister. The hell of poor people like me and Jack. There was 200,000 more families in the London area than the homes to put them. And, in addition, there was 60,000 single persons living without sinks and stoves. In seven central London boroughs at least one in ten of all households was overcrowded, That is to say, living more than one and a half people per room... Do you fancy sharing? I asked Jack. Sharing with who? Your sister. I don't know. Maybe not. He said well. Fortune is a woman, and it is necessary if you wish to master her, to conquer her by force. And Jack, my beloved Jack was not that kind of man. ...According to some figures families of certain sizes, at the rate of building in force in London would be 350 years on the housing list before they were offered a house. Oh, certainly there was a devilish scourge upon that city made out of slimy worms. Far from God's eyes. But our baby (yes, now we had ou...

This is not a book. This is libel, slander

This is not a book. This is libel, slander, defamation of character. This is not a book, in the ordinary sense of the word. No, this is a prolonged insult, a gob of spit in the face of Art, a kick in the pants to God, Man, Destiny, Time, Love, Beauty … (Henry Miller)
