About those who are looking for the truth and those who are not

There is a real risk to end up thinking that those who do not seek the truth it is because they are predetermined to act in such a way. But as Saint Augustine makes clear, from the very beginning we are given the possibility to decide. It is up to us, it is in our free will to decide whether to remain in the Good that has been given to us from the beginning or to choose Evil. The choice, obviously, always takes place following certain signs that appear around us, we are immersed in a system of created nature, and through this system, we are interacted, interoperated and connected with the One who set this whole system in motion, in lay terms with the Moment-When-The-System-Originated. In fact, Saint Augustine said [1] naturae competit esse cum Deo : It belongs to nature to be with God. Because sine dubio, ubi est vitium, natura non vitiata praecedit : without a doubt, where there is vice, a non-vitiated nature precedes [1] De Civitate Dei XI, 17

Truth-seeking is a too big cross to be borne - for everyone

The truth is sought in many ways, but finally, they boil down to two modes. Many people who seek the truth, do not seek it de facto . They simply adhere to some narratives. The word (to adhere) outlines a reclining mode, almost a glueing mode, to their positioning by remaining attached to it; and without any individual effort, they cling to the imposed narrative which, like a tick, swells to the detriment of those who adhere to it until it becomes (that narrative) abnormal compared to the moment of initial adhesion, and ultimately it will suffocate and will totally annihilate the individual, who has adhered to the narrative that has become dominant, in his will and individuality. Usually, people who adhere to it are those who are already willing (convinced) to adhere to such a narrative. Complete adherence takes place through a pre-adherence initiated by being previously exposed to a long obsessive and aimed, in terms of repetitive intensity, induced propaganda that manages to at...

Current democracy kills the Spirit and makes people as a flock

“Democracy does not create strong ties between people. But it does make living together easier.” — Alexis de Tocqueville I am more and more convinced, and the more I think about it and the more I realize that is true, that many people don't want liberty and they don't know what to do with their freedom (1) Many people don't know what liberty means and what liberty can be figured out. Why? Very simple, they are born slaves. Or at least they were maybe born free but they hastily have learned to become slaves. They have been framed inside a culture of enslavement (i.e. democracy, in western countries) from the very beginning of their existence. And what is terrible, they love it and accept it without questioning it. In Democracy, there is a tendency to oppress people in their spirit, and if your spirit is not well developed, has strongly developed the components of listening to the Spirit (for this concept, read HERE ), you end up accepting this oppression. Democracy enhances ...

Italian cognitive dissonance (apie vieną gurmanų klubą Vilniuje)

Est ardalionum quaedam Vilniuje natio, trepide concursans, occupata in otio, gratis anhelans, multa agendo nil agens (Phaedrus) Užupis, a district of Vilnius - the so-called Republic of Artists. There is a restaurant right there, in the centre of the little central square – a magnificent place, very close to the bridge that you incontrovertibly must cross arriving from Onos Bažnyčia. This restaurant is well known in the Italian community of Vilnius, famous for illustrious gourmands. Big bellies, bad breath, satisfied faces, bright and vivid eyes yearning for food. They have the most elaborated possible philosophies regarding their stand with regard to traditional recipes, each of one consisting in a different universe: pasta alla puttanesca, carbonara, spaghetti alla amatriciana (one of the most vexed question: which is the original way to prepare the real pasta alla amatriciana? Eternally unsolved question, since are many heretical positions about it). Which wine with which cou...
